One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Inscription, "E.J. MILLER / ALEXANDRIA, VA," Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with three freehand cobalt stripes and the stenciled cobalt inscription "E.J. MILLER, SON / & CO. / CHINA & / GLASSWARE. / ALEXANDRIA,VA". Wear to interior of rim. Dark flecks throughout surface. Some tiny, in-the-firing stone or iron pings to surface.
