One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Eagle Decoration, attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, Massachusetts, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a finely-stenciled design of a flying eagle. 2 3/4" hairline from rim on front. Faint 2" surface line from rim on front. Faint surface line in end of one handle. Two nicks to one handle. Two very tiny nicks on interior of rim.
