Very Rare Diminutive Redware Bowl with Elaborate Slip Tulip Decoration, Eastern Pennsylvania origin, 19th century, tapered bowl with semi-rounded rim, the interior decorated with a slip-trailed tulip surrounded by large petals. Rim decorated with slip-trailed dashes. A profusely-decorated example in an excellent size. Glazed surface survives in exceptional condition. A few areas of wear to rim, including a minor 1/4" chip to exterior of rim. A 3/4" surface line with miniscule glaze flake from rim, not visible on exterior. D 4 1/2".
