Scarce Two-Gallon Hackensack, NJ Stoneware Advertising Jar, attributed to the Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, late 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising "M. Halstead, / House Furnishings / Hackensack, / N.J.". Includes original unglazed stoneware lid, impressed "2". 3" line from rim. Chip to one handle. Nicks to inner ledge, where a lid would rest. Some light discoloration to surface. Four chips to lid, one of which is very small.
