Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1875, a one-quart cylindrical jar with cobalt swag decoration, paired with a one-gallon cylindrical jar, decorated with three cobalt flowers around the shoulder. Quart jar in excellent condition with light wear to rim. One-gallon jar with in very nice condition with some in-the-firing discoloration and dryness to surface, a small rim nick, and a faint, fork-shaped line on underside.
