Two Pieces of Advertising Stoneware, Maryland and PA origin, second half 19th century, a small-sized stoneware jug, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "J.C. WHEELER / GROCERIES & LIQUORS / 159 FOREST STREET / BALTIMORE," Baltimore, MD origin; paired with a Wilkes Barre, PA stoneware bottle with cobalt-ringed neck, impressed "KREBS, & KNORR". Wheeler jug with a professionally-restored handle and a minor base chip. Bottle in nice condition with some light wear to surface, a small chip to bottom edge of spout, and some fry to cobalt. H (of Wheeler jug) 8 1/4".
