Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical crock with heavily-tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two brushed cobalt tulips extending from a slip-trailed stem. Slip-trailed "6" to shoulder. Approximately 5 1/2" inch hairline from rim on front. 4 1/4" hairline from rim on side of crock. Chips to one handle. Wear to Albany slip on interior base.
