Rare Two-Gallon Richmond, OH Stoneware Advertising Crock, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt foliate design above the large impressed advertising "McCAREL & BURNS / RICHMOND, O.". Color and decoration indicate this crock was produced in Beaver, PA for the firm of "McCAREL & BURNS". Drips of water glass staining to surface. Faint 2 1/2" vertical line from rim on interior, not visible on exterior. A small chip on edge of underside and a very shallow, minor chip to exterior of rim.
