Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars, Baltimore and Western PA, third quarter 19th century, a semi-ovoid jar with cobalt leaf decoration, Western PA origin, paired with a cylindrical jar with swag decoration. Western PA jar in very nice condition with a small base chip including small U-shaped line, a second minor base chip, and a tiny base nick. Baltimore jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a glazed-over flake at edge on underside.
