One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Unusual Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated on the front and back with a brushed floral design resembling a trumpet flower, an unusual motif for this maker. Additional small swags along the shoulder. Excellent condition.
