One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with three tulips extending around the shoulder. This tulip motif with splayed petals is somewhat unusual among Grier's work. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
