Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with large drooping flower design repeating three times around the circumference of the vessel. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a shallow, glazed-over chip to top of rim.
