Glazed Redware Jar or Bean Pot, probably Pennsylvania origin, second of third quarter 19th century, squat-shaped jar with three rows of incised banding, applied tab handles, and flared rim, decorated on the front and back with manganese streaks under a clear lead glaze. Several base chips. Losses to one handle. A chip and wear to opposite handle. Wear around top edge and interior of rim, including a few small, shallow chips. Light surface wear around midsection. H 7 1/8".
