One-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL," Winchester or Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, and squared rim, impressed with early Solomon Bell maker's mark. Essentially as-made condition with a 1 3/4" salt glob to shoulder.
