Rare Diminutive Glazed Redware Cup, attributed to Anthony Bacher, Winchester, VA or Thurmont, MD, fourth quarter 19th century, finely-potted, diminutive cup with footed base, flared rim, and tooled midsection, decorated with splashed manganese over a mottled olive and yellowish-orange ground. Clear lead overglaze. Form matches signed Bacher examples from Winchester, VA, as well as signed Lynn examples (also possibly by Bacher) from Thurmont, MD. Very nice condition with a small chip and light wear to rim and some light wear to handle. H 2 1/4" ; Diameter 3".
