Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER / ROCHESTER," New York State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with tall neck and semi-squared spout, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of wreath with bow at base surrounding a script number "2". Professionally-restored area to left of decoration. Additional restoration to base and surface of bottom half of handle. Hairline to neck under handle.
