One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid-bodied pitcher with pronounced foot, tooled midsection, and tall flaring collar, decorated with a brushed tulip motif. Professional restoration to tip of spout, rim chips, and a 2 1/4" hairline from rim on reverse. Two minor chips to rim and a minor chip to shoulder molding on side of pitcher. Several small base chips.
