Two-Gallon Early Stoneware Jar, Stamped "BOSTON," attributed to Frederick Carpenter, Boston, MA origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an impressed design of a banner, inscribed "BOSTON". Small base chips. In-the-firing chip on top of rim. Contact mark on side and a contact mark / chip on reverse of jar.
