Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird on Stump Decoration, Stamped "F T WRIGHT & SON / TAUNTON, MASS," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stump surrounded by shrubs. Restored crack on front, with some touch-up to areas of cobalt. Two smaller restored cracks on reverse. Two chips on exterior of rim.
