Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Profuse Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON. / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a large-leafed plant including a daisy-shaped blossom at the center. Large and bold decoration with excellent color. Chipping around spout. Base wear. Some tiny spots of fry to a few places on cobalt. A few very small flakes to surface.
