Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Large Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed clover plant on the front and back. Excellent form, decoration, and color. Crazed section to base of jar under one handle. Three minor, shallow chips on interior and one minor nick on exterior of rim.
