Southern Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Lid, probably North Carolina origin, late 19th century, cylindrical jar with flared rim and all-over alkaline glaze. Includes a nicely-potted lid with alkaline glaze, probably North Carolina, but most likely not original to the jar. A few chips to edge of lid. Jar in excellent condition. H (including lid) 9 1/4".
