Rare Anna Pottery Stoneware Snake Jug, Incised "Little Brown Jug / 1880," Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, ovoid jug with footed base, the handle in the form of a heavily-scaled snake with curving body. Shoulder incised in Anna-style penmanship "Little Brown Jug / 1880". Surface covered in chocolate-brown Albany slip glaze. Restored head to snake. Otherwise excellent condition. H 4 1/2".
