One-Gallon stoneware Jug with Ochre Foliate Decoration, Stamped "R. THOMPSON & Co / GARDINER," Maine origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout and ribbed strap handle, decorated with brushed ochre foliate design on the front and heavy ochre highlight to maker's mark. 1 1/8" x 1/4" filled and colored hole on side of jug. Otherwise excellent condition.
