Six-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, semi-ovoid churn with tall collar, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed cobalt tulip with dotted accents. Large cobalt "6" below rim. 2 1/2" hairline from rim on front. 2" hairline from rim above one handle, larger on interior. Numerous small chips on interior where a lid would rest. Painted enhancement to cobalt.
