Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Thompson Pottery, Morgantown, WV, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and lug handles, decorated with a flowering vine design above a large freehand "3" flanked by flowers. Significant flaking to jar. A chip and wear to one handle. 2 1/4" crack from rim on reverse. Wear to rim.
