Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO / PA.," circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, decorated with stenciled flourishes surrounding the stenciled name. Base with bold freehand "2" flanked by dashes. Cobalt stripe at rim and base. Raised clay bubbles to surface, which occurred in-the-firing. Tight 2" X-shaped surface line at base.
