Scarce Five-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Plow Decoration, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with stenciled plow motif at the center, freehand stripes, small stenciled tulips, and a freehand "5" with flourishes at base. Tight 9 1/2" crack on front with a few shorter lines extending from it. Additional tight, 8" inverted Y-shaped crack on reverse. Areas of staining to surface.
