Rare Verona, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, featuring the elaborate stenciled cobalt advertising "JNO. R. CRIBBS & SON / DEALERS IN / DRY GOODS, GROCERIES / AND ALL KINDS OF LUMBER. / VERONA. PA.". Freehand cobalt stripes above and below stenciling. Tight 1 1/2" vertical line at base on front, and a second tight 1 1/2" vertical line at base on reverse, both continuing a short distance on underside.
