Scarce One-Gallon Pittsburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled and rounded shoulder and flattened rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "OMMERT & HOFFIELD / CHOICE / FAMILY GROCERIES / NO 15 DIAMOND / PITTS.". Freehand stripes above and below. L-shaped section from side / base reglued. Two smaller pieces reglued on underside as well. Cracks extending off of damage.
