One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to Stephen B. Sweeney, Henrico County, VA, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a stylized cloud-shaped floral motif. Additional cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing chip to one side, and a small in-the-firing chip to underside.
