Rare Small-Sized Redware Jar with Cream Glaze, Stamped "S BELL & SON / STRASBURG," Virginia origin, circa 1890, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, the exterior decorated with cream-colored slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. Interior covered in a clear lead glaze. Desirable small size and attractive whitish coloration accented with numerous iron flecks. Chips and wear to rim. 1 1/8" x 1" section of glaze loss to body. Glaze wear to interior base. H 6 3/8".
