Two Stencil-Decorated Stoneware Cream Jars, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," circa 1880, both of similar ovoid form, a three-gallon example with stenciled foliate designs with a diamond, and a six-gallon example with stylized geometric motifs within a border. Three-gallon jar with crack from rim on reverse. Six-gallon jar with significant exfoliation, as well as cracks from rim on reverse.
