One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag and Tassel Design, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Manhattan, NY, circa 1820, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and applied loop handles, decorated with a stylized cobalt swag and tassel design on the front and back, accented with dots above each swag. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few glazed-over base chips.
