Two Stoneware Jugs, Including a Rare Signed Remmey Advertising Jug, circa 1875, quart-sized stoneware jug with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "J.P. MCGOVERN, / GROCER, / NO. 2134 Market, St. / PHILADA," additional impressed "R.C.R. / PHILA" at base. Paired with an undecorated ovoid jug, possibly German. Remmey jug in excellent condition. Chips to other jug.
