Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1870, approximately one-gallon to one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jar with rounded foot, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with brushed cobalt swags. Chip to one handle. Nicks to underside of opposite handle. Tiny nick to shoulder molding. Small base chip. Vertical hairline to base area.
