Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BURGER & CO. / ROCHESTER, NY," circa 1878, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant with cross-hatched interior to blossom and shaded edge to petals and leaves. Very nice color. Excellent condition with a 1 1/2" shallow chip to interior of rim.
