Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Design, Stamped "N. CLARK & CO. / ROCHESTER, N.Y.," circa 1845, ovoid jug with thick spout, the front decorated with a very large slip-trailed design of a daisy plant with huge blossom and heavily-shaded leaves, along with three buds curving to the right. Slip-trailed "3" at shoulder. Bold decoration with strong color. Excellent condition.
