Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably E.B. Hyssong, Cassville, PA, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt vine bearing two different tulips. Large dry contact mark on reverse. Tight Y-shaped line on one side. V-shaped crack on underside, covered with black sealant. Tight crack extending partway up side of jar from base. Additional short hairline at base. Dryness to section of jar under one handle.
