One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SIPE, NICHOLS & CO. / Williamsport, Pa.," circa 1875, ovoid pail with tubular pouring spout, decorated on the front with two large conical flowers, the reverse with a cross-shaped leaf motif. Large loss to spout. X-shaped crack on one side, continuing onto underside and partway up reverse side of pail. Rim chips. Missing bail handle. H 10".
