Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Cherries Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with squared spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of three large cherries hanging from a leafy stem with curled vines. A desirable Cowden motif. Drip of later green paint to front. Small stone ping to front. Small base chip on reverse.
