Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "N. CLARK JR / ATHENS, N.Y," circa 1850, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an abstract slip-trailed flowering plant design. Includes a salt-glazed stoneware lid. Several cracks on reverse of jar. Other thin cracks. A few chips on interior of rim. Hairlines in lid.
