Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird on Branch Motif, Stamped "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE N Y," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. 4" vertical surface line on reverse, not visible on interior.
