Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, attributed to Samuel Irvine, Newville, PA, circa 1865, ovoid jug with thick semi-rounded spout, decorated with an abstract cobalt floral motif and a stripe along the spout. Excellent, as-made condition with two discolored contact marks.
