Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and back with brushed cobalt clovers underscored by a cobalt stripe. Dryness to cobalt. Contact mark on one side. Shallow chips to interior of rim. A tiny in-the-firing base chip.
