Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Lids, Mid-Atlantic origin, circa 1875, an unusual graduated-stripe-decorated lid with crossed knob, attributed to Solomon Bell of Strasburg, VA; paired with a foliate decorated lid, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA. Bell lid with chips to knob and a some small chips to flange on underside. Remmey lid in excellent condition with a small chip to interior of flange on underside. Diameter (of Bell lid) 9 1/2".
