Two Stoneware Jars, Both Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a cylindrical one-gallon jar with squared rim and cobalt swag decoration, paired with a one-gallon cream jar with rounded rim. Cylindrical jar with heavy chipping to rim, a top-to-bottom inverted Y-shaped crack from rim, some base chips, and some small chips out of surface along crack. Other jar with cracks in underside extending up sides of jar. H (of cylindrical jar) 9 5/8".
