Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Baltimore or Eastern PA origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a series of brushed cobalt swags and hanging flowers. Two 1" base chips and a smaller base chip. Additional small chip and contact mark near base with 1 1/2" faint line extending from it. Crock is slightly out of round. Minor 1/2" separation near shoulder. Minor nick on interior of rim. H 8 1/2".
