Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "E. & L. P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird with crest, perched on a leaf with dotted trail. One chip on interior and exterior of rim. 2 1/4" separation line from rim on interior. Small chip to one handle. 7" Y-shaped hairline to right of one handle. H 13 1/4".
