Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn, Southern U.S. origin, late 19th century, cylindrical form with flared rim, applied lug handle and strap handle, the surface covered in a dark olive glaze accented with areas of rutile. Reverse "4" under a handle. Some small chips and nicks to rim. Nicks to handle. H 17".
